INTRODUCTION

    Harbin Boiler Co., Ltd (former Harbin Boiler Works) is the largest utility boiler manufacturer in China and is one of the first national first-class enterprises. Its former was founded in 1954, and put into operation in 1957. The present Limited-liability company established with moder enterprise system in 1994 through stock reform is a member of Harbin Power Equipment Co., Ltd, a large-sized national group. Now it deals in an in batches manufactures 600 MW & 300 MW utility boiler as leading products and medium & smal-sized utility boiler, industrial boiler & heat recovery boiler, matching accessories & valves,large petrochemical vessels, nuclear power equipment, etc. It has a capacity of 3500 MW utility boilers per year.

   The company covers an area of 760,200 square meters. It has 3890 units (sets) of equipment of barious kinds and more than 7000 employee, including 2000-odd technical and management personnel. The company provided a wide series of power plant equipment for china power construction, up to now it has produced600 utility boilers with the total capacity of 53,598.5 MW, covering 1/3 of the total installation capacity of thermal units manufactureed domestically. They were installed in more than 180 power plants in 29 Chinese provinces, municipalitieds and autonomous regions, and some of them were exported to 23 countries including P.D.R. Korea, Pakistan,ect.

   The company has been unremitting in its pursuit of advanced technology and ceaselessly creates new products complying with the world tide. In 1981, subcritical control circulation boiler design & manufacture technology was introduced from CE of the United Stated. Following the success of trial production of the first homemade 600 MW subcritical controlcirculation boiler in 1986,HBC successively developed 300 MW～600 MW improved natural circulation boiler and control circulation boilers adapting to various fuels. Recently,HBC has successfully developed products with world advanced level such as 220 t/h circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler with high pressure,gas & steam combined circulation 42.75 t/h heat recovery boiler, D-type oil-fired boiler, 5 MW district nuclear heat supply system,large ammonia distiller and gasifier, which enabled Chinese utility boiler & petrochemical vessel manufacturing technologies to rapidly stride into world advanced level.

   During the new development period, the company will vigorously develop supercirtical once-through boiler, clean coal-fired boiler with high capacity and bearing parts for nuclear power plant, extending the fabrication capacity and market competitiveness. With technical exchange and cooperration in production with famous foreign manufacturers and companies in a wide range, HBC will continuously prowide class-A products and considerate service to meet the tremendous demand for power equipment in the domestic and internaitonal market, just as it has been doing in the past.
